Collections Bookshelf Award
April 28th 2008
The Kirkland Heritage Society is fortunate to have received one of the sets of the Connecting to Collections Bookshelf provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), in partnership with the American Association for State and Local History, the Getty Foundation, the Henry Luce Foundation, and Heritage Preservation.
The Bookshelf consists of titles recommended by 100 conservation and preservation professionals. The materials provide a wealth of information to the nation’s libraries and museums on the care and maintenance of their historic and cultural treasures. The Connecting to Collections Set of Books is now on the book shelf at the Resource Center at Heritage Hall in Kirkland. With this in depth library we will be able to provide the necessary preservation and storage of Kirkland's past for future generations.
