You can use the ESJ Timeline links in this website’s Guide to search the ESJ Index database by year to find a reference to a East Side Journal (ESJ) newspaper article you are interested in.

As an alternative, you can search the ESJ Index database by subject and/or words that may appear in the article headline at http://bellevuecollege.edu/cpsha/esj/search/default.htm.

Once you have found the ESJ Index reference to the article you want to read, take that reference information to the King County Library, Bellevue WA branch, where microfilm copies of the ESJ newspaper articles are kept..

KHS thanks Alan Stein for the many hours he spent hand keying the ESJ Index database so it could be shared with others online in this way.
