Houghton's LakeView Elementary School made a walking field trip to downtown Kirkland.  They got the lowdown on Kirkland-Houghton History with a Powerpoint Presentation by Loita Hawkinson, a booklet and a tour of the Resource Center.  Oh yes Historic Preservation was mentioned a few times. They Met Ms Jean Jayne a former teacher from their school, and trekked to City Hall to met the Mayor with a motorcycle police escort no less.       -- June 3rd, 2010--
